Why Your Leather Might Have a Chemical Odor:

It's important to note that the odor you're experiencing is a result of the common processes used by all manufacturers in the production of our items, which involve the use of dye and glue. To ensure the highest quality of our products, we exclusively utilize top-quality brands for both these materials.

Typically, many manufacturers allow their products to sit for 1-2 months before selling them, which allows any residual smell to dissipate. However, due to the high demand for our products, we are shipping them out as soon as they are completed. This means that the smell you've noticed is because your rig was freshly manufactured. I want to emphasize that none of the products used in the rig are harmful, and this odor will naturally dissipate over time.

New-leather smell will be eliminated after keeping a leather item on a balcony for about two weeks. This method is suitable for footwear, jackets, bags, and other products.

  • Old newspapers: Such a method will be an excellent solution for items with inner space, such as footwear, bags, etc. It is necessary to fill a leather product in with old newspapers, wrap with them, and then put in a box filled with them for about 2 days. The smell of leather products should remain on newspapers.
  • Coffee or baking soda: This method is suitable for any dark leather items. It is enough to put coffee or baking soda on the item, shake these substances off some minutes later, and ventilate the item. Don’t use coffee to remove new-leather smell if you have light-colored items, as it can dye the material.
  • Ammonia spirit or vinegar: If previous methods didn’t help, you can try this one. Mix a glass of water with two tablespoons of vinegar or with a tablespoon of soft soap and ammonia spirit. Before processing this moisture, test it on an invisible area of the leather item.

Holster Orientation:

If you think you received a left-draw holster with your purchase, please refer to the image below to understand how your pistol should be positioned. The lowest corner of the holster should face forward, while the high side faces back. The hammer hoop is fully adjustable with a firm tug, and the holster can be molded with your hands to improve the fit. Our holsters have a thin metal plate in-between the leather and lining allowing for a snug fit. See our video library.
